I am sorry you had such a rough day! :(
Great job with using the positive mantra! The more you use these coping skills, the more they will help....
...not only through the technique's calming effect, but also with reinforcement to your mind that you can shut down panic and symptoms by being proactive...thus helping you to feel empowered!
I hope you can have a restful night, and start a much more peaceful/symptom free day tomorrow! :)
