med, it will help you, please give yourself a break, take the med and then keep yourself busy and distracted, you are going to do very well, Peace

I am also starting a new medicine( imipramine), so I feel you on being anxious.

I have been told that mine comes with a lot of side effects, so that makes my anxiety worst.

I'm just trying to stay positive, because I'm looking ahead to becoming my old self again.

I'm wishing you GOOD LUCK and going to tell you the same thing I'm telling myself.

Even though it may be tough in the beginning, I just have to see it through and ride it out.

The brighter, feeling good days are in the near future!!

I am just wondering, are you really going to start with 50 mg dosing?
Discuss this issue with your dr. They tend to give 25 mg or less for start.
Because, 50 mg may be a bit too much for starting a Sertraline medication.

Yes, you might have some increased anxiety for a week or so but that's all. Then after 1-2 month you will start feeling the benefits of the medication.
I recommend you to hang in there, the first week will pass in no time. :)
