I think SC has a very valid point, why not give it a go, what have you got to lose ?
DBT consists of 4 main modules: Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance, and Interpersonal Effectiveness Skills. DBT therapy is usually carried out in a group context. In the skills training groups patients are taught skills considered relevant to the particular problems experienced by people with Borderline Personality Disorder.
DBT therapy is recognized by Mayo Clinic and many other reliable institutes.
I remember you asked about ECT recently and wondering where you are with that issue? I don't remember if you were dx with Boderline Personality Disorder.
Please try the DBT and if your physician still recommends the ECT do consider it as it has helped many people.
