Still not sleeping, anybody else?

So I started taking 5mg of lexapro 5 weeks ago, and last Saturday I moved up to 7.5
On Monday the doctor prescribed 10mg of ambien because I have not slept thru the nightsince I st a trend the lexapro. Even with the ambien I still wake up every night at 2am or so and have to take .5mg of xanax ( with docs permission) to even get a chance at another hour or so. Anybody else run into this? I try breathing and affirmations and try to be as calm as possible, both at bedtime and when I wake up at 2, but itis really hard. It feels like nothing is working.

Sorry to hear you are having sleep problems.

I have had sleep problems for years so know how frustrating it is I like to do some Mindfulness about an hour before I goto bed and find that helps but I still only get around 4-5 hours sleep a night if I am lucky.

have dr switch you to ambien cr. much stronger and you will sleep tru the nite

i dont know why drs are still handing out regular ambien when ambien cr is so much better. when i was in the hospital -they gave us 2 ambiens to take every night as they knew regular ambien wasnt strong enough. ambien cr came out while i was there and what a differance it made. not sleeping just makes anxiety all the worse.

I guess try take Lexapro in morning will help,otherwise it corrupts sleep.
