Hi all,
Just an update ,my doc called in today and put me on 50 mg seroquel,I have no idea what med it is .
Isn't it anti psychotic used for bipolar ...but he is giving me for sleep.

Let's try and then he will keep me on it or adjust the dose or change med depending on my feedback.

We do hope it works! Many of the drugs developed for mental problems are used off label for other
problems, seems like we are sometimes short on a particular ingredient that makes life smother, Peace

Hi cilly,
I was put on Seroquel for sleep as well. When I first read the info that came with it, it scared me because it said it was an anti-psychotic. However, it is used for other purposes. It appears to have been good for me for sleep. I am on 100 mg? And I am just starting to slowly reduce it. I think it should help a lot.

Hi Cilly

I used to take Seroquel it will definitely help you sleep right through the night.

I stopped taking it as I put on a lot of weight but I was on a much higher dose.

Do you mind my asking how much of Seroquel you were on?
I want to reduce mine, but if it affects my sleep or anxiety I am not going to touch it.

I am on the exact same dose for sleep. It works wonders. I take it about 30cmin before I wanna fall asleep and I generally sleepnfor about 7 hours.

I hope it works the same for you.

I was on 100mg I stopped it because it was making me put a lot of weight on and switched to Haloperidol

Thank you for the response. That is what I am on. I tried to reduce it the other night, but for some reason I am getting a lovely spike in anxiety. Back to the dr.!
