Michelle,
I had to have a magnesium infusion during my first labor due to pre-eclampsia..
...and I remember the flush I felt come over my chest! They had warned me this could happen, but it was still very strange and uncomfortable.
However, in the long run, it helped me...so it was a side effect that I accepted.
I think that over time and in general, you are going to benefit overall from the Magnesium, since getting balanced levels of your vitamins/nutrients in your system actually reduces anxiety.
We have great Resources at the top of the main forum page here that are filled with self help coping skills that will help get you through any more rough spots. Check them out...especially the Positive Mantras/Affirmations. Since you know your trigger...you can repeat a calming phrase over and over to yourself to get you through an attack. Something like:
"I am okay, this is just the supplement giving me anxiety, and it will pass."
The breathing exercises and meditations should also help!
Keep up the great work. You are very strong to be gaining your recovery, congratulations!
