Depersonalization/derealization is common with anxiety...and is likely a temporary effect of the increased anxiety one experiences with a start up. We have links with info and self help suggestions in the Resources for this.
I know it is disturbing, but if you ignore/accept it as much as possible...it will be less problematic. When I was dealing with this issue...I kind of adopted the attitude of, "Well, I guess it's time for my break from reality, lol"...I found that not focusing on it helped it to pass. (easier said than done, I know...but practice trying this anyway)
As far as the nutrition question...
...you'll get a dozen different answers from as many people...but, my opinion is this:
You need carbohydrates for brain and body function. However, choosing good carbs should be a goal. Whole grains, beans/legumes, fruits and low fat dairy are all ideal choices. Refined products and sugar should be kept to a minimum.
Healthy choices and moderation for treats (rather than complete elimination) is a reasonable approach I believe.:)
