Sitting in the ER

Woke up this morning with terrible lower left jaw pain. I was out last night at the ballet with my daughter and I could not enjoy myself. My left arm was aching from shoulder to wrist. I kept worrying about it.
This morning the jaw pain was there when I woke.
I usually have jaw pain from TMJ but this was shooting pain on the left side everytime I breath deeply.
I'm scared I'm taking shallow breaths to prevent the pain from terrifying me.

It must have been a day for it as i too have been in hospital for most of the day...All good now though.

After having my wound checked ... I was joking with the nurse about remedies for restless legs as I had been suffering since the weekend...
The doctor sent me straight to the hosp , he wanted full bloods and checks for potential blood clot!!!!!

I am glad they were vigilant but it was a bit scary.. No blood clots just high white blood count due to the infection and recent surgery ...so a stronger antibiotic.

HI everyone. I ended up leaving the ER after a 3 hour wait and not having been seen by anyone. I had an appointment at my sons school that I could not miss.
The pain in my jaw is still there but I have to breath deeply and when just before exhaling it twinges.
It is the strangest thing and I tried to Google but can't find any results that are similar.
I don't have chest pains or anything else other than this twinge of pain in my left jaw, but only when I breathe deeply.
I don't know if I should go back to the ER and just stay until I'm seen.
With the holidays tomorrow I'm also worried something will happen to ruin them for my kids
I just don't know what to do.

If you can cope with the twinges, maybe see how it goes... It may be from clenching your jaw while your asleep ...
All the anxiety of going to hosp and getting to school etc then worrying about the pain will be fuelling the anxiety.. which isnt good is it😐
I know i have been exhausted today after being at hosp and all the stress ... So i know how the anx and pain which gives the anx a chance to run amock is a blinking night mare.

If it would ease your mind so you can then enjoy the christmas time with family... Maybe go and get it checked.

We do worry about spoiling things for others... what are we like...I'm not feeling the christmas spirit since i have had this op and the setbacks ... but i am feeling worse because i dont want to let my kids or grandkids down ...

Thanks for the support everyone. I'm at home and haven't went back to the ER.
I'm doing my best to distract myself so I'm not focused on the twinges.

Gilly I'm sorry you're not feeling up to the holidays. Maybe when the family are with us we'll feel more in the spirit.

SuperDan, I'm sorry to hear you're not well either.
I figure if it gets bad and I have to go then I have to go but I'm handling it now and I should try to be in this moment now.
