Visual snow having anxiety

Hello.

I have been recovering for the past three months from depersonalization and derealization as some symptoms have gotten better I still don't consider Myselve curedd or what not. Over the past two days I have been having blurred vision and static vision I read they call visual snow. Everything looks static like when a TV doesn't work. I have made an appointment with a optometrist and I'm also going to go see a neurologist just to make sure nothing else is going on and know for sure I will get better from DP/Dr.

What is really bugging me right now is the visual snow that just started. Apart from so my other symptoms I am starting to get anxiety again. I haven't really had that much which helps reduce the DP/Dr but I'm scared that this new symptoms will bring on the other symptoms again.

I am currently only seeing a therapist but I am going to neurologist to get an MRI or something.

Had anyone experience visual snow and it had gone away. I've had it for two or three days. So far

Vision disturbances are very common with anxiety. This is something I have as a transient symptom....but have learned to ignore it...

....and if I don't focus on it (arh, arh...no pun intended) it goes away quickly.

Keep working your coping skills and try not let this common symptom derail your recovery goals.smile

Have you ever had the visual snow thing it's so frustrating getting it.
I have to deal with depernolization/derealization for the months now and now this is getting really hard to core sometimes.

Certain things have diminished but once something new happened I start getting anxiety again. What gives me more anxiety is even though I don't have anxiety I still have the DP/Dr which well idk it's just hard

I too suffer from depersonalization and deralization along with anxiety that causes changes in my eyesight which almost triggers an anxiety attack. I used to have it everyday but now it's only around every 2 or 3 days and it's getting better. When I start to feel this way I immediately close my eyes and tell myself "it's all in your head, your fine" over and over until I calm down and then I start to try and think happy thoughts and make myself busy with something.

I definitely get this from time to time...especially if I'm in fluorescent lighting, large spaces, or if it's really bright. I try my best to ignore it, or focus my vision on something right in front of me which helps the sensation tremendously.

My anxiety is in full today. Idk why I google and why I do this but now I'm scared I might go into physcosis or the physcosis depressions or something. Could anxiety with dp/Dr symptom lead to that. I'm scared now.

My vision is all messed up which is making my anxiety bad and plus the DP/Dr doesn't help.

I get a lot of the symptoms you describe with my migraines. I do get a headaches as well...but it is not debilitating...just uncomfortable. ..but the other symptoms are rough. :/

It's like I feel like a headache but not really it hard to describe.

It hard to differentiate right now especially with the DP/Dr.
But yea my vision has alot of floaters and static vision which is very uncomfortable And it raises my aanxiety.

Then idk why I google physcosis and I got scared because it says you can go in to it if your depressed. Which I am aswell with all that going on with me

No,

Anxiety doesn't morph into psychosis...it.can just become worsening anxiety if left untreated.

Definitely ask the neurologist about the possibility of migraines when you go in....

...and keep working in you management skills for now.smile

Because of the DP/Dr I would have stupid thought like that I was in a dream. And seeing people would scare me it still kind of does. It scares meit's something more than anxiety. It's not like I'm paranoid that there going to hurt me or something just like wonder if they ever felt like me out dumb thought like that. I just haven't felt like myself for so long. And it's hard to explain. I feel like I ruin my life with tth the stupid edible I took.

Ii only took it to help with my pain that I have due to my skin condition but now this has over taken over my life.

I have my optometrist appointment on Wednesday and I'm scared they might have to dilate my eyes. It's giving me anxiety. Hopefully I can opt out doing so

J, people like us who over process almost every thing in our lives lend ourselves to almost everything you
are dealing with. I am not saying that the edible you took was not a shock to your consciousness, but i bet
that you were never a party animal or recreational drug user. You took something you never thought you
would ever do and had a unpleasant experience, does this knowledge make you afraid you might one day
do other things you fear, it would me. Try to remember, you are the same person you were before the drug
yes it gave you symptoms that are unpleasant, but you are the same, same girl, same morals, same except
for "Fear", try to keep in mind the only power fear has over you is that which you allow! Peace

I'm scared. Idk if I should go to the ER. But this morning I woke up feeling wierd. I went outside and was there for about 10 minute. Things where starting to look unreal again. But that's not all they seem dimmer. Like when someone ddims the lights and the sun is out. It hard to explain. I went inside and everything looked dark. Idk this is scary my anxiety is off the roof and I am starting not to feel like Myselve again. Which sucks. Iidk if these new sunrooms are anxiety or something else.

I called the neurologist office on Friday and he says they might not be able to see me until the 20th and that a maybe because the doctor only goes in on Friday. I'm scared idk if I should go to er and just ask for a brain MRI. I don't even know what I would say it's wrong with mewithout sounding crazy

Up til now how many different doctors have told you that your general health is ok?

I and several others are watching you and you are doing the same thing we have done hundreds of times
are we any smarter than you, lol no darn way, we just got tired of the death rehearsel we were doing,
give yourself a break and take half of your next med, then sit down and have a long talk with yourself
if that dont work then go to ER, but if you dont believe your other doctors about your health, why would
the doctor at ER be any smarter or better qualified to tell you "you are ok", Peace

I only been going to my dermatologist who is taking care of my skin but I've told her about three depernolization but just that I had it not my symptom I practically self diagnosed. I have been going to a therapist she says with what I've told her it sounds like anxiety.

I haven't gone to a neurologist yet I am still waiting for that. I would have gone since the beginning but I just thought it was anxiety and maybe it is but I rather have piece of mind especially now with my v vision doing this to me. It really freaked me out I'm scared to go outside and have it happen again. I think the derealization is coming back plus my vision is getting dark. What scares me is I am sick with my skin issue is really severe and it's like autoimmune desease and I'm scared it might effect my brain

Ok, what kind of med are you taking for your skin?

The reason i ask this is that some skin meds are antibiotic, for many of us who suffer from anxiety/panic
antibiotic's can increase our anxiety. Peace

I was taking antibiotic but I do about 2 weeks ago because I needed a break. My derm still wants me on them but I'm hesitant because of anxiety and I've been on them for a long time.

She did steroid shots a about a week and a half ago but those only went on my lesions it wasn't the kind that gooes in your system.
What really bugging me is my vision. It started a couple days ago. Blurry vision with visual snow and things are starting to lloo unreal again. Plus in the morning I swear everything went colorless for a while. It scared me

I still could simply be anxiety...or like me...anxiety compounded by migraines...so try not to get worked up about it...and just keep looking for your answers and best treatment plan.

Between anxiety and migraine activity...I feel crazy out of it, and have vision and audio issues. I have just learned to cope and/or ignore the sensations...and not allow them to freak me out.;)
