Hello All,

I hope everyone had a wonderful holidays and a happy new year. I haven't been on in awhile. I was doing good. I still have my good and bad days. I noticed this week when I get anxious I get a numb face and I just try to breath, Also I can feel some skipped beats. I woke up the other night at 3:35am with an elevated heart rate then shot up to 159 I was sweating like I went for a run then in about 15 min it slowed up. I haven't had that in awhile. Anyway all in all I'm trying to make progress I still have the buspar sitting at the Pharamcy I did not pick it up at. I'm trying not to take any meds besides Xanax prn. 15 years straight of meds I will be 2 years free of antidepressants. It's been hard don't get me wrong but I've managed somedays can be great and somedays can suck. Just wanted to check in hope all is well with everyone.

Like you I am trying to stay off of antidepressants for my anxiety - thankfully I am not depressed too this go round but the anxiety is bad some days - my anxiety usually centres around heart stuff and just feeling strange sometimes. I have clonazepam (similar to Xanax) that I take as needed - I've done pretty well so far this month - it is the 13th and I've only taken 3 clonazepam so far.

it sucks to feel this way and I hope to get a better handle on it one of these days - I'm 51 and have dealt with this off and on pretty much my whole adult life. Hope you have a good night / sleep.

It sounds like you are making some great progress! All in all things sound good, and that you are doing a great job on your management!

We all have ups and downs...good days and not so great ones. It is a process.smile

Pretty Kittay i missed you but glad you had some real good days, just keep that xanax in your purse and
realize that you can shut down the panic any time you wish, i can see the strength in your writing kid
you will get stronger as you go along, Peace

We all have good and bad days.
I am still on anti depressants and anxiety meds.

My doc went cold turkey on me and wants me to sto all meds also.

Crazy doc.
I felt i cant and will be hospitalized.
So here i m fighting battles ...in new year.

Glad you are back but you are brave ....no anti depressants means you are doing great !!!

congrats on making it 2 years. 3 years for me and yes its not easy some days is it. i urge you to try the buspar. its mild and works wonders for me and its not a benzo -best part. you can take it as needed despite how its prescribed, thats how i do it.
