Again, I'm sorry to hear about
they're not being able to get your blood pressure down.
There are a lot of b/p medicines out there, a lot more than my dad had available to him 40 years ago, and many of those weren't very effective.
So, if this one is not working, it is good that you are reaching out with this problem. Again, when is your next appointment to see if you can get it changed?
You mentioned dental abscess. I have concern about
my teeth because of a med. problem, I cannot handle a dental drill. So, I have to take extra special care of my teeth.
What I try to do is, brush after meals (I basically also don't eat sugar because of another health condition. Sugar is really bad on teeth, even if you brush).
Then once a day (actually I make it about
every 3rd day), I try to floss my teeth. Then, after I floss, I gargle with Listerine Total Care Zero, because it has fluoride, which helps prevent cavities.
I haven't had a cavity in years. So there may be parts of our health we can't control right now, but we can be looking out after other factors. I know, it's not easy.
Also, I use a heating pad on my chest when I lay down at night, or lay down for a nap. It expands the blood vessels, and makes the blood flow more easily through the heart, and it doesn't have to work as hard. I keep my heating pad plugged in beside my bed, and I have to do is cut it on.
I keep it on all night, because laying down, I've heard, puts a strain on the heart. I've heard that's why hospital beds are tilted up, because they don't want you laying down flat.
If you have high b/p, a heating pad may ease some strain on your heart. Stay believe that you're going to solve this problem, that you're going to find a b/p medicine that works.
(I just now see where you wrote in your first post: "I am now having burning feet and short of breath in the mornings especially. I am so sick of this. I just don't feel good and I am sick of this.)
(If you're having short of breath, a heating pad may be even more important for you to have. How about
letting us know how all of this is going.)
(As for burning feet, it says on mayoclinic.org:
"While fatigue or a skin infection can cause temporarily burning or inflamed feet, burning feet are most often a sign of nerve damage (peripheral neuropathy). Nerve damage has many different causes, including diabetes, chronic alcohol use, exposure to certain toxins, certain B vitamin deficiencies or HIV infection."
Possible causes of burning feet:
•Alcohol use disorder
•Athlete’s foot
•Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (a group of hereditary disorders that affects the nerves in your arms and legs)
•Chemotherapy
•Chronic kidney disease
•Complex regional pain syndrome (chronic pain due to a dysfunctional nervous system)
•Diabetic neuropathy (diabetes-related nerve damage)
•HIV/AIDS
•Hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid)
•Tarsal tunnel syndrome
•Vitamin deficiency anemia
----------
You probably want to ask your b/p doctor about
this when you see him about
your b/p pills.
Anybody who reaches out for help like you do, can solve these and other problems.
