They say it's wise to skip your vitamin D if you're going to be or have been outside a lot on bright sunny days. And you don't have to have direct exposure to get the benefits of the sun.
This may be true for some people but not for everyone. I had my D level checked late summer and the results cm back deficient. I was taking 5000iu of a vitamin D supplement...daily at the time I was checked. Needless to say, I am on vitamin D year round.
