Anyone else experiencing increased anxiety?

I was just wondering if anyone else has been experiencing increased anxiety for no apparent reason? Mine has been bothering me a lot the past week and nothing has changed. I'm wondering if maybe it's the season, or something else.

Just thought I'd ask.

Gah, I wonder what is causing the spikes. I know i am NOT liking it. I know none of us do, though! lol

The sun has been out and it has been nice here in Pittsburgh, PA so I should be happy and feeling good...but nope! ;)

I hope you start to feel some relief soon, this just plain stinks! cry

I am feeling the same way and nothing is really happening. My back and chest hurts and I get so nervous. I have been trying to go and walk and that seems to help for a while... Hope you feel better soon smile

I'm sorry to hear you are not feeling well, either. I feel shaky inside, and my body feels weak.

I'm glad to hear that walking seems to help...keeping busy is good.

I think just posting about little things and getting them off our chest helps as well...at least it does for me.

I hope you are having an okay day today, though!!!!

Yes, I am freaking out with terrible panic attacks since yesterday (and lots more today), and I don't know what has set me off. It's truly awful. And the weather today here is dull and depressing, so that isn't helping much. I am basically a mess, and it's hard to function. None of this ever makes sense to me. Just seems so unfair, doesn't it??!!! I would love to be an easy going person, but never have been, and sadly never will be.

To be fair, you could likely ask this question at any point in time on this forum and find people who are experiencing heightened anxiety. So I'm not sure the prevalence of anxiety here is necessarily caused by any one thing.

That said, I do believe, for many, the end of a long winter filled with shorter days, and more sedentary lifestyle, could certainly lead to accumulated stress that can wreak havoc.

And, LHA, never say never (cliche, I know)! There is growing evidence that our brains are capable of change, throughout our lifetimes, at any age. Real, structural, change. Unfortunately, these changes can be negative, or positive. Most of us have experienced negative changes as our anxiety has compounded. But that positive change is a possibility has always given me hope, and driven my actions, for what it's worth.

TICHWA.....Hi, yes I know I shouldn't be so negative, but life's changes on many fronts does make it seem impossible to be upbeat. But, thanks for reminding me that perhaps things could change....gosh I wish!

You know they say in places like Vancouver depression and anxiety rates are higher because of less sunny days.
