Hey Liz,
Sorry to hear about
your night. At my worst I had several E.R. visits - not all too different from the one's you described. And so I empathize with what you're going through, and how frustrating it can be to be dismissed in such a way.
Tingling sensations, and light headedness, are very common symptoms of anxiety. I'm less familiar with muscle spasms as a symptom, but muscle twitches are common, and there are few anxiety related symptoms that surprise me anymore.
I'd definitely follow through with an appointment with your primary next week (or whoever's filling in, this week?) to voice your concerns.
Mindfulness is most useful as a regular practice. Unfortunately, turning to it at our most anxious moments for relief tends to do little. It looks like S.C. linked to some resources, above. I'd also add in that simply taking a walk (tough when lightheaded, of course), or trying a short yoga for anxiety video (plenty on Youtube) m help, as well.
Wish I could offer more, but that's all I've got.
Here's to hoping you're feeling better soon.
