Rene:
You say, "but when i goto sleep at night i cant, i have ame symptoms you all do and today is 3rd dasy i havent really slepts im so tired, im missing work, im hallucinating i think, any good advice, im really at my wits end here"
I’m sorry you’re having trouble with sleep I used to have trouble with that, also.
What has helped me and some others on this site is “Melatonin” supplement from the Health Food Store, or from the net.
I take 1 mg of that a night and it puts me to sleep. And it’s not a doctor’s sleeping pill. It's not habit forming, that I've found in years of taking it. You simply won't go to sleep if you stop taking it, from my experiences.
Of course, as a bipolar, I also take Lithium (for the bipolar) and Mirtazapine anti-depressant, both of which help me sleep, also. So, I’m not going to sleep with 1 Melatonin pill if I don’t have those other 2 psychiatrist pills.
But, I’m also not going to sleep if I don’t take the 1 mg. of Melatonin, along with my meds.
Melatonin comes in 3 mg. pills, also, so it must be OK to take 3 mg. Melatonin also comes in 5 mg. pills, so it much be OK to take 5 mg. of Melatonin.
You might start with 1 mg. of that, and if that doesn’t work, a few hours later, you might take another. Or wait until the next night and try 2 mg. of Melatonin. And the next night 3 mg. if 2 doesn’t work.
You decide. These are my opinions.
Some say on this this board, you should check with your doctor or druggist to see if they think Melatonin is OK with the meds that you take. They say it can cause difficulties with some meds. So you might want to check with your doctor or druggist.
My psychiatrist says she doesn’t mind me taking Melatonin for sleep, but doesn’t like some of the other health food store sleep aides.
You might also try sleeping with a heating pad on your pillow.
Lay your ear down on the heating pad, and see if it doesn’t help you go to sleep. You decide on how high to cut on the heating pad.
I also use a heating pad on my chest, which helps my heart not to have to work as much, because it expands the blood vessels.
It‘s like a kid sleeping with a Teddy Bear, which helps him sleep. It’s warm.
I keep my heating pad plugged in next to my bed, and just simply cut it on every night.
Exercise during the day, 30 to 60 minutes is good, but any amount is beneficial, helps me sleep at night.
Some or all of these may help you sleep better.
These are all my opinions.
