Anxiety over a procedure I had done

The anesthesia that is usually given during a colonoscopy is very light, (twilight sleep) and usually not known to have any after effects....

However, if you received any aftercare instructions, be sure and read through them...and if you feel like you need to be seen, don't hesitate to go make an appointment or go to urgent care.

Most likely, you are experiencing allergies, or maybe the onset of a virus...made worse by feeling anxious about the symptoms.

My daughter and I both recently had a really mucousy cold that caused quite a bit of coughing and chest congestion. :/

I had similar anesthesia last Friday, and have had a few coughing episodes, and feeling like I have fluid in my lungs or something, especially after sleeping. I felt like this when I left the hospital, and the discharge nurse was not concerned. She suggested Mucinex. My discharge paperwork also encourages deep breaths and coughing. I'm guessing this is a fairly common reaction to anesthesia. I get this same feeling after swimming. Hope it passes quickly!!!
