Lexapro help please

Hi everyone,
I've recently switched from Prozac 10mg to Lexapro 5mg. I took Prozac for 6 years for postpartum depression/anxiety. Recently, after dealing with an ovarian surgical procedure, my anxiety came back with a vengeance. After advice from my GP, I decided to give Lexapro a try. The first 2 weeks were great-- barely any side effects. I started to feel like my old self again. Now, on week 3, I'm suddenly feeling anxiety, shakiness and loss of appetite all over again. Does it make sense that the side effects have waited until now? Has anyone experienced this delay before. I was fully prepared for it the first 2 weeks, but figured I was out of the woods at this point.

Thanks for your response Texan. I'm also wondering if it's related to the Prozac finally getting out of my system (I've read it has a long half-life.)

Yes that's a good observation, perhaps it's more a function of the Prozac leaving your body than the Lexapro building up.
