I've been gone forum for years. This is the first time I return and feeling not that great theses days. Last year I transferred out of my community college to university. I finished my first semester with good grades. I felt great. Until theses last few weeks, I've been spirling down in my depression and panic attacks. I've progressed so far and now I feel like I am just starting. It gets worse at certain times and the thoughts as well. I know I will get better but I am scared.

I’m sorry you are going through all this and have depression and anxiety myself so I understand. I have to say it wonderful that you transferred to university it’s a big step. I have to say that this may have caused a delay in you depression and anxiety. Being a college student in itself is stresssful enough on someone that does not suffer from depression or anxiety. So I see where your has increased of late.
Of course this is just an opinion and I’m no doctor. However I would suggest you see your therapist or if you don’t have one go through student services and they can help you find one on campus.
Just a question do you take any meds or have been on any in the past and not taking any now???
Good luck and hugs to you hun

I'm supposed to take zoloft each day. I been taking it for four years. This year I've might have started to skip days even weeks in not taking the drug. I felt great so I thought maybe easing off the medication even though my therapist advice against it.

Depending on the meds even not taking them for days and weeks may cause withdrawal symptoms. This is possibly why the extra depression and anxiety. Just a thought to consider and maybe make sure you take it every day even when your are feeling good. I speak from experience I’m one that hates taking meds especially after the physic doc put me on like 5-7 mental health meds at once over medicating me. But at other time when I was only on a few and felt good I would stop my meds and I’d always go down hill and have to start them any so now I stay on them. Just a thought and wanted you to hear my experience with going off meds. I just want you to know I’m trying to be supportive and not trying to tell you want to do. It is always your choice in taking or not taking meds. Good luck and hope you feel better soon hun.

As soon I realized I was going bad. I started taking the medication each day. It has been two weeks. When I take the medication in three hour I feel awful. It has been many hours rrom the time I took the medication and think a little more clearly. I do know if my brain is getting rejusted to the drug or not.

Depending on how many weeks you were on the drug yes it could be your body getting adjusted to it again. If in another week or two it’s still happening I would speak to the doctor and see about
possibly changing it. Good luck

Hi ST and welcome back!
Though I am sorry to hear it's due to returning struggles. The good news is that you are simply having a setback (common)...and you can get back to that place of recovery again. You are not starting over...just needing to get back on the path from where you've temporarily veered off a bit. ☺
Restarting your Rx was the right move...but it will take some time for you to level out again...try to be patient with yourself and the process.
