Anyone take abilify (aripiprazole)

Any experiences with abilify (aripiprazole)? I'm only gonna be on 2mg to help decrease bad feelings during the day to hopefully be more a peace at bed time.

I don't like this medication at all. I was only on it briefly at a low dose I cannot remember.

It did not help me for anxiety. I had bad akathisia on Abilify. So bad that I could not drive myself to and from work each day.

I haven't tried that one but I know I can take some meds just fine and other's can't and vise versa.

Hi

Ive never taken Abillify but I do take a medication thats in the same class of medicines and find it helpful. I would say give it a go and see if it helps and if it doesn't you can always stop taking it.

at 2 meg I would try it. when it first came out -they were recommending a 15 mg dose. that high a dose was causing all kinds of side effects. the recommended dose is much much lower now. its wortha shot at this low dose to see if it helps

I felt the side effects very quickly (within a couple days), but felt no therapeutic effects at all.

Some ppl are on IV form of abilify ,its known to be life saving drug for many.

I have never been on it but its mostly for Bipolar ppl ,i heard,

my prev doc gave it to many patients .

I didn't use it for too long and cannot remember why I stopped. It was with doctors' permission of course.

Everyone is different, though. It could be great for you! Don't give up. There are lots of things out there to try if this one isn't for you. Give the medicine about 30 days to really start kicking in. That's the rule of thumb.
