Well I live in the southern part of the United States where it is always hot during the summer. August is usually the hottest month of the year here.
Due to the high humidity and often no wind, the heat just sits .
I have never had strep before but It always runs through my mind every time my throat gets sore. I also live alone and do my best to have a clean house. I have heard that strep hits you hard and fast like the flu.
I notice that drinking water keeps my throat feeling better. I have heard that with strep nothing can provide immediate relief save pain killers and anti-biotics.
Edit: The sore throat is still there but the pains ebbs and flows. I will get some cough drops and go home and sleep.
I was reading a stat that said only 1 out of 10 adults that have sore throat have strep.
Perhaps I am just overthinking the whole thing
