I'm still taking the PPI. ENT #1 seems to think it is the right answer, but that it needs more time to work. He said to give it until November. ENT #2 said that the endoscopy showed nothing major or concerning, only some slight inflammation of my lingual tonsils and suggested I may be having a hard time completely knocking out an infection. So he ordered the antibiotics for that.
I saw a new neuro in July and September and he felt that I was fine on the neurological side. He also felt that my previous neurologist had put me through unnecessary testing and should have explained things to me better. It seems what was found in 2014 (and has been checked annually at a high out of pocket cost) is an unchanged benign condition.
So, now I guess I go through this round of medicine and see where I'm at.
I'm also supposed to see an endocrinologist but the one I was referred to is booked. I'll find another one, but figured I might as well wait until the sonogram results are in.
Meanwhile, I am going broke seeing specialists, paying for tests, and buying meds. I'm also not the only person in my home racking up medical bills - my husband tore some ligaments in his ankle and may need surgery for his shoulder.
