My Dear Friend, Wednesday the 31st of October my Wife of 52 years passed away,

i feel like i have no future, i am lost, i am crushed like a glass bulb.

I am letting you know so you can please tell my friends on healing well.

I let him know that I would forward any responses to him...and will help him navigate the changes here when he is feeling up to returning. He has been away during this time to care for his wife throughout her prolonged battle. Any kind words would be so aporeciated, thank you.

SOOOO so sorry Larry - Hugs!!!! It will be a long road of recovery for you but you will get through - it just takes time. You have friends here. I haven't been on here for awhile but I remember how kind you always used to be when I needed advice. Praying for you and your family.

I know I've been away for a while but Larry you been alot of help and many times the first to respond when when I needed help. I'm so truly sorry for your loss. Sending hugs and prayers to you and your family.

Oh Larry- I am so sorry for your loss
52 years is a long time- of course you feel lost and crushed.
Was it sudden or had she been ill?
Wishing you peace and hoping the hole in your heart may soon be filled with warm memories instead.

Hi Larry,

It's wonderful to meet you even under these conditions. My brother lost his wife this past spring. When I ask him how he's doing he openly shares. At first he said some days are almost OK and others are awful. Over time his answers are starting to soften. The low days aren't quite as low as they were at first. More days that are OK. When he was here and I was able to give him a good, long hug I could feel some of his pain and tension letting go. Stay in touch with those who make you feel better.

When I lost my 23 year old son I was stoic and thought I could get through alone. My doctor offered medication help and I refused. I was sure I didn't need any help. After 2 years of trying to push down the pain and making myself sick I relented and went on antidepressants. I should have done it sooner. I'm not saying you need them but a trip to your doctor isn't a bad idea. Plus he/she may suggest someone to talk to and help you through the hardest times. There are also groups in most communities whose members have lots their partner. These can be very helpful for some people.

Whatever you do always remember there are people here who care very much about you and how you are doing each and every day. Even though I just met you I feel like you're an old friend I can talk to.
