Hi TMo!
Nice to meet you. I can tell you from personal experience that having anxiety and/or depression can cause prolonged nausea with or without vomiting. I've had it come and go for years, hospitalized, tested for everything known to man and it was my primary doc who nailed it all along. I have major depressive disorder and PTSD. Was just retested last week and unfortunately tested very strongly for both.
When extra stress, anxiety or depressive situations happen often so does the nausea. Can't even get down water. I have to get hydrated at the doc's office or hospital. Now that we have figured out what is causing it after about 5 years I've started going to a nurse practitioner/psychologist. She's working on balancing my medications and beginning to talk about what has and is going on in my life. Haven't had a bad nausea relapse for almost many months now so something is helping.
You might want to talk to your doctor about this idea. I'm not saying it's definitely happening to you as it does to me but it's worth checking out. There are good anti-nausea medications out there also if it gets bad.
Warmly,
Chutz
