Hi cilly, I'm also experiencing this lately and I'm sorry you are, too. SC is right. You need to start with your primary doctor who will need some information from you like history, previous tests and medication you're now taking and then your doctor will decide if you need tests. In my own case, I was given certain heart tests to rule out heart issues (still have two more to take) but so far the results are negative. My primary doctor (and the cardio who is ordering the tests) thinks anxiety has been causing my bouts of high BP lately. This was really surprising to me, that anxiety can actually cause blood pressure to rise. Their goal is to help me alleviate the anxiety and you know that's easier said than done! There can be lots of reasons for anxiety to affect us, some are obvious and some are not, but getting to the cause of it is important. I hope you get better control of this! Best of luck!
