I had taken Tramadol for a few days about
a year ago. My Dr. called and said do not take any opioids even Tylenol with Oxazepam. I did a search on the web and the FDA has a warning about
serious drug interactions with the combination of any Benzo and these drugs. Benzos have been around for years and years and the FDA just issued this warning.
Anyone hear anything about
this? I am wondering if we can use a pain relief rub since Tylenol is listed as a Analgesic

P.,
I have not heard anything regarding the use of Tylenol w/a benzo. Opioids and benzos should not be taken together, but I think the use of acetometaphin is known to safe.
Anyone else know more about
this?

The FDA is including all benzos, I checked Oxazepam because I take that. I have never seen anything on my script
print outs about
taking pain meds, Now there will be warnings, Where has the FDA been all these years. I was given Tramadol at the E R for back pain, they knew the meds was on and still gave it via I V and a script
.

I am unable to
open the URL, if you can't do a search I just searched xanax and tylenol and got the same warning.

Actually most of the interaction checker sites err on the side of caution...so it's always a good idea to get clear information regarding your Rx's and OTC meds from your doctor or pharmacist.
I hope you get the info you need and a good idea on how to proceed with your meds.

hospitals have the authority to bypass all regulators....most countries. it is because you are there, or in there. ie under supervision, hence they use whatever is required, specific to the situation and critical criteria. they have expert pharmacists, consultants, etc. ht.

It's not a problem! It is good to be aware of these things.
Just looking to present all possible sides and information...b/c sometimes there is info that may seem contradictory....
