Labelleliason: If you are crying, I think you're depressed. I once cried in front of my psychiatrist, and she said, "Aw you 're just depressed." She was very cold, but she was right. The reason I was crying, was because through a foul-up of this same cold psychiatrist, I got off my anti-depressant and my Lithium, and I went straight into depression, and then there was a concern about going back on them.
You're playing a part in this, as was I when I went off the medicines, and then stayed off. I realized later, I could have taken a portion of the medicine, like 1/2 of one pill, to see if it was going to kill me. If it didn't, I could take the entire pill the next time.
You say, " Ive seen a dr and rhey gave me medication for depression but Im scared to take it because somewhere in the back of my head I think its more of a situational problem"
You've seen the doctor, he gave you an anti-depressant, but you haven't taken it. Gosh, wonder who's to blame for this one? That one's pretty tough to figure out.
Another problem could be, as you say, "Ive been feeling down for awhile. Its been lingering. I think part of it is also that I still havent taken care of any of the issues that have been ongoing for 5 years...."
Gosh, if we could just find somebody to blame. I've heard the saying, "The person you have to defeat, is the person you have to look at in the mirror every morning." Labelleliason, hello! Anybody home?
