Health anxiety causing neurological symptoms?

Need some advice on my symptoms

Constant buzzing and vibration feelings in body
Constant head pulsing
Trickling feeling in leg and feet
Visual snow and eye floaters
Chest and back pain

Docs just putting it down to anxiety
I’ve had blood tests and eye exams I’m just waiting for an mri on my head which is next week

Anyone experienced this, can we make ourselves have these feelings through anxiety

I’m getting seriously worried now because they have been daily for 5 weeks since I had a bad turn on celexa, I don’t take any srri’s anymore, just take lorazepam for sleep

Anxiety can and does cause profound physical symptoms. When you take your benzo do you get relief from these sensations? (even just to a degree counts) If so, this is pretty indicative that this is indeed, as your doctor says, a result of your anxious state.

Once you are finished with your medical tests and have eliminated any physical cause for how you are feeling...it will be time to get to work on an anxiety management plan.

I recommend talking to your doctor about a therapy referral...especially since you are looking to avoid taking a daily maintenance Rx. Therapy can help you learn the tools needed to cope with the challenges...both mental and physical that go along with A/P.

I just take my benzo to get to sleep that’s what the docs gave it me for, without the benzo I can’t sleep at all just some weird dream state where I am still awake like it’s weird.

The feelings I get are 24/7 I think it was a really bad reaction to the celexa, I haven’t been on ssri’s for 5 weeks no and I’m still feeling all these weird sensations every day.

Blood tests came back fine, I’m having an MRI on my head Thursday

Just these feelings I’m having a so profound, it’s like I can feel a constant pulse in my head, weird sensations from my lungs and chest, buzzing in my leg and feet, just scared the ssri’s have broke me forever

My anxiety is fine to be honest just more occupied on all these mad sensations going on in my body

I am really sorry that you are going through this. I hope that you won't discount continuing treatment for anxiety once you've ruled out anything physical with the MRI.

Not to argue with you...but I've been doing this some time (see my post #) and have read stories almost identical to yours.

The people who did go ahead and seek treatment for their anxiety...even though they didn't *feel* stressed and wanted to attribute their symptoms to something else...

...in time ended up getting the help that they did need...and found relief.

Just my 2 cents, and of course you can do what you want with it.

In any path you eventually take...I do hope that it leads you to answers and progress friend!

I can identify with how you're feeling. Yes it may be anxiety but I feel our physicians sometimes discount us that have anxiety and that is disheartening to me. I hope that the MRI makes you feel better. Glad you are getting it done.
