Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all doing well and coping as best you can while dealing with Covid19. It is covering the world in such as way as it looks Biblical in nature. I want to be upfront and say I have a Christian worldview so I filter my life with this in mind.

I am ashamed to say I know God is in charge yet I am plagued by worry and despair. It utterly breaks my heart to know and see people over this Earth suffering because of this virus. I take my meds and pray daily but I am just like everyone else here who suffers with anxiety and fears.

I have seen on facebook where people are gathering each night at 8pm to say a prayer in hopes of ending this virus. I will be doing this along with my other 99 prayers each day for everything else.

I am 62 years old and must say honestly I have never ever felt this way. I worry so much about this virus and the suffering and pain caused by it. It literally is making me ill and melting my heart.

I'm also saddened to know that many in our world are suffering right now because of the coronavirus.

I honestly feel the best thing we can do is try our best not to panic and not to spread the virus. There is so much going on right now.

We have to have faith.

We aren't suppose to discuss religion on the forum. But prayer can be comforting, you may have to do it alone or listen on tv or computer.

Basically have faith, there are many people working on fighting this. Do what you can to play your part. It all counts. Most of all try to stay calm.

We are all in this together. The whole world.

I hope my mention of God has not broken any rules. My intention is not to cause dissention to those with differing views. Prayer is a good coping tool for me. While I believe it is of great benefit to me personally it serves another purpose such as journaling to those so inclined for purposes of therapy.

I hope this has not offended anyone.

You have not Oceanfisher58. We just can't let the conversation get into too much religion here. Like I said, prayer can be comforting. It is a scary time right now. Do what makes you feel better. I hope you have a lovely day dmo. Keep hanging in there.

As getting by mentioned we can't get to much into religion conversation here but you need to continue with what is best for you. This is very worrying times for all of us so we can all support each other here so if you are feeling anxious then put a post up and i'm sure you will find lots of support.

I think we can all agree watching the news just creates more anxiety. The virus is just causing chaos across our country. If the news stories are correct then we are not prepared. Much blame being placed all around. The big news agencies are blaming our government for not preparing better when they had info in January as to what was coming.

Now we have a huge shortage of protective equipment and services with everyone blaming someone else. Also the younger crowd is going to the beaches in California and Florida partying and spreading the virus. People are also in Washington DC looking at the cherry blossoms.

We are so unprepared for all this. I hope people get their act together before its too late.
I am so sorry and don't mean to depress anyone with this message. My own anxiety is just through the roof. I hate we all have to live like this.

Try to stay calm. Getting anxious doesn't help anything.

They are doing the best they can between the governors and the cdc. The big guns weren't prepared, but I think that everyone is doing the best they can. Thank health care. They are short handed, asking retirees to come back to work. I am trying to help make face masks. Keeps my mind busy.

There is a lot of blame going around. Some is true. But politics is something we cant' discuss on the forum so I wont go there.

The best thing you can do is stay in as much as you can and wash hands frequently.

I watch some news as I want to know what is going on. But that is pretty much it. The rest of the day I watch something else for entertainment and to take my mind off of things.

Hang in there DMO. Try to stay calm. Breathe... Mindfulness is key right now.

This is intense for me, for many. I am doing my best to not tune into the news non stop but I must stay informed.
All I can do is stay home, try to eat healthy, walk, breathe and find a way to let the stress out of my body.

We've never seen anything like this before. Maybe we don't know how to deal with it.

Sometimes faith is all that is left. When we've done all we can to be safe, know that we are all doing the right thing to keep ourselves safe.

We are also here to support each other.

Thanks for posting. Yes, faith. We have to keep the faith. That is what keeps us going.

I don't think we know a lot of what we need to do to deal with this pandemic. But they are working on it every minute. I think the big problem is that we weren't prepared. But we are working on that too. My friend made 39 face masks today that she sewed. Well she is the other depression moderator. Kudos to Trina (Bnotafraid). She is going to send them to a chemo facility that cannot get them. I am cutting fabric to help her. Keeping busy is good for my mind.

I keep repeating myself on washing hands. Especially when you get home from being somewhere else. And not to go out unless it is absolutely necessary. I guess not everybody is doing what we were asked to do, but for my own sake, I am staying home as much as possible.

I am so thankful for the forum. I think it is helping a lot of people. We are all in the same boat so to speak.

Good morning all,

I am trying my best to stay calm. Yesterday my dog was sick so I had to take her to the vet. I live far from everything so it took me an hour to get there. I then had to wait in my car while they examined her and started her treatment. I was in my car for six hours yesterday. I have degenerative disc disease so you can imagine how I felt after that long wait.

I am taking everyone's advice and remaining as calm as possible. I am taking my meds trying my best to get past all this. I also have cancer and am supposed to start treatment in the next month. It has taken forever to get a treatment plan and now this virus is making a mess of it. I honestly don't want to start my treatment till all this is behind me.

As we all know the medical community is asking everyone to stay inside and not go out. Businesses are closed and I know they are hurting. We must flatten the curve so as not to overrun our hospitals and medical staffs. Now it seems our president is thinking of opening everything back up because of the pressure of those wanting the almighty dollar. I hope this is not what is done. All over the world countries are telling us not to do what they did but to slow down the spread of this virus. No amount of money is worth dying for. We must be smart about this and work on a vaccine.

As much as all this makes me crazy with anxiety, what is worse is the thought of people suffering and dying from this virus. I will continue to pray for all people hoping God has mercy on us all.
