Hi everyone.

If you saw my post yesterday, I had blood work done and I was freaking out about results. Well, today most of them came back and we’re fine (like I thought) but one of my levels, protein total went up 0.5 since March. The hematologist ordered a blood and urine test that I’m waiting for results from but I cannot stop searching online for why exactly he ordered the tests he did and what abnormal results meant 🤦🏼‍♀️ My anxiety is 💯 getting the best of me right now and I just need some reassurance or light or positive vibes as I wait for my results please. 😕

Hi

I can relate as I get really anxious when waiting for results but it’s good news your results came back normal and it sounds like your doctor is covering all basis which is good and why they have ordered another test. Try not to worry and stay away from Dr Google as all it does is increase your anxiety 10 fold trust me I’ve been there many times.

Do something to take your mind of things such as listening to some music 🎶 or watching a film or box set.

Maddixone, did your doctor say how much time it may take to get the results from your blood and urine test?

They said a few days at the lab since they had to be sent out. I received the ones they could do on site yesterday, within 24 hours.

I live in a state of anxiety. Things like you talk about leave me searching for answers. I always google everything. I hate living this way. I did not used to be this way. I was calm and serene when I was younger--have no idea what happened to me.

Knowledge is power, and searching the Internet can be helpful to a certain extent. I also check with my PCP to ask what test results mean, especially why further tests are being ordered. That can both ease my mind and focus any searches with Dr Google.

Dr. Google aint your dr.
Dr's order tests for many things.....
I reckon if it was sonething your doc was concerned about you would have been told.

Additional tests are sonetimes needded. Like for rheumatoid arthritis...basic test is RF and indicator but a more conclusive can be done.
