This pandemic has changed us tremendously, being an anxiety sufferer feels like 100 times worse. I have gone through many different types of anxiety but this one is new. I am a single mom of a 6 yr old..and lately with all these horrible news of Covid I have experience a horrible fear of dying and leaving my baby..I’m trying my best with the tools I have learned through the years to feel better...I’m taking it one day at a time..but it’s so hard ..has anybody gone through this ?

I think that the best thing we can do is live each day to the fullest and cherish what we have. We don't know what lies with tomorrow. We never do. Do the best you can. Try not to think about
the "what ifs".
Hugs, Karen...

Please know you are not alone in your anxiety. I am also very upset with the way the world is today. Perhaps you can take some comfort in the small percentage of people who actually die of covid. You are young so your chances of surviving covid are much better than mine are.
Please wear a mask and keep yourself and your child away from people as much as possible. With any luck we will have a vaccine by the years end.
One last thing which is very important to me, have faith in God. It may not be popular these days but it has gotten me through my life and I can tell you of times I have had prayers answered. I know religion is forbidden here so I will leave it at that.
God bless you all.

Two more things - stop watching the news so much - only keep abreast of what's absolutely necessary, and, try to get outside as much as possible. Experiencing how un-worried nature is will help in nurturing an optimistic and positive attitude.

Thank you so much for your support, I have started to go outside and walk, I actually drove by the beach as well, even if is just seeing it makes a difference. I think that since I don’t go out of my house at all you know is what complicate things more. I have stopped watching news as well. Taking it a step at time...get my tools out and start using them

CLN777, I think it's great that you have started to go outside and walk, have driven by the beach, and have also stopped watching the news. You are doing what you can to help yourself calm down, which is awesome.

Yes, I will continue to do that and doing my CBT exercises ... it’s hard to walk the same path I walked many years ago ...and yet is also a reminder that I once was on this boat and I was able to get over it...I can do it again
