Yah I been off those antidepressants I never really started it I took like like 5 and that's it I dropped it its been a year and I still got it its annoying and yah those drs don't even try I hate it.
Idk why and how we got it but I sure hope it goes away.
Do you think if its likely a brain issue it'll become worse or effect our brain?
Assuming it really is idiopathic illusionary palinopsia, from the literature I have seen on it, there's zero evidence to suggest it will worsen substantially or cause any issue to the brain.
It seems to be some type of visual processing issue in the brain. And I only see it in my peripheral when things move, in certain lighting (usually low). I've also tested that I can see it on stationary items, but following say the tip of a pen, or my finger, past the object (object needs to have some type of light to it compared to the surrounding) and I will see the stationary object ghost outwards as I track past it.
So what is happening in the brain to cause this processing error I can't say. Especially when I one day didn't have it, then suddenly did. Seems very odd, right? Same with Nana and others, just suddenly appeared. Makes little to no sense that some mystical brain processing issue would just occur for no reason.
But I've exhausted my attempt to figure it out. Is it brain, is it eyes, is it a combination of both. Something else, I just don't know.
I've read many people who don't see it to our extent, claim they DO see it though when in the dark, with their phone screen lit. If they wave it around they can see a trail following it. So, I don't know, it could be a normal phenomenon that we're just more aware of, or our brain's are way more active and picking it up?
If I could go back in time, I definitely would of went to medical school and involved myself in the field of these neurological/brain issues affecting the eyes and ears. There's a subset of people with both visual/ear issues that never get help, and no research or care goes into solving those issues because a minority of people have it. I would of loved to try to help fix that if I was starting college all over again.
