Back when I was in the throes of severe anxiety, I also felt scared because I was too nervous to eat and felt that because of not eating well, I could get sick and, maybe die (like the anorexics do). What I began to do was keep a food diary. It helped because I could look back and see that I was indeed trying the best I could to get healthy food into me. Foods like pieces of fruit, vegetables, yogurt, oatmeal, rice, clear or cream soups - it was never a great amount, but I forced myself, and found that if I could distract myself enough, it would go down. I would eat slowly, sometimes watching TV, or just talking to my husband, etc. What helped a lot was looking back to the day before and telling myself what a good job I did (it's important to praise yourself!) And of course, you need to keep hydrated with at least water. Sometimes carbonated (seltzer) water went down best.
Keep us posted on how you're doing, okay? I so know how hard it can be.
