The pandemic has shown me the true value of compassion. Hardships i encounter are invalid in terms of people in third world countries who are searching for the next bowl of rice to feed their children and with covid and or ebola and hiv/aids.
Yes isolation is tough, but we moan...with a roof over our heads, a job, a pension, food and the internet.
We have become soft, and indifferent to the true suffering of people out their.
Our veterans in australia, one i met at the shops a year ago when people went into a buying madness, this digger laughed and said, in the jungle, maybe after four days of rugged jungle warfare a bowl of cold soup, on top of dysentary, toilet paper, he laughed, leaves.
Let this learning be one of compassion, the planet is immune to nothing. This is something foreign to viable countries, but just another form of hell to those whom are not so wealthy. Help others, and in turn you will be helped. To give compassion, is to receive compassion.
not having a dig at anyone, just want us to be cognizant of others doing it much tougher. HT
