I am sorry that this is going on.
I’m glad you wrote in. I think people hearing about
these conditions on a board they are familiar with can make them more aware of what it’s like if they catch this illness than if they just read statistics or symptoms from some medical center. These accounts on this Anxiety board are very personalized.
I only got my booster shot after the guy who cuts my grass said he had gotten Covid-19 and laid in bed all day coughing.
I could visualize myself lying in bed coughing all day. I got my booster shot the next day.
Thank you for telling your story, PTTNguyen.
Your post sent me scurrying to my wallet to find out when I had my booster, July of this year, and they said I would need another one in 6 months, or in January of 2023.
(I just saw on the back of my shot card where I've written a note that says I'll need another booster in 4 months, not 6, or about
Nov. 1, 2022. Glad I saw that.)
From the data in my original post, those who have not had a booster in six months should consider that. From the data I’ve read, it notes:
"The Washingtonpost.com said on Sept. 1, 2022,
"The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended Thursday (Sept. 1) that millions of eligible Americans, including those as young as 12, get an updated omicron-targeting booster shot to bolster defenses against serious illness and death during a potential fall or winter rise in covid-19 cases."
