What has happened to this forum is unfortunate. For a long time, Kitt and Scaredy-cat kept the forum going, with thoughtful and timely responses, sound advice and compassion. Then, sadly, Kitt passed away. And Scaredy-cat indicated she was taking a short break from the forum but now appears to have permanently disappeared. I hope she’s OK. Nobody ever really filled the vacuum created by their departures. And the forum has sort of fallen apart. There are some other good forums. But what has happened to this one is unfortunate. A lesson in impermanence, perhaps.

A few forums are the same. Many have moved on from the forums, some forums are deader than others.
I have basically retired, i can't keep propping up the bar on some forums. I have on a few, as a few other members have.
It is what it is. HT.

Oh no! I am just now learning about Kitt and am so heart broken. Kitt really helped me through a lot many many years ago. 😢

Yes Kitt was great. She died in November 2014. Very sad.

It's not that bad. Compare this one to the ones on Alzheimer's, Breast Cancer, Cystic Fibrosis etc.
As long as people reach out for help and there are good souls trying to help... I do agree that moderators play an important role to provide support and continuity.

Fortunately, the forum that I do follow is very active (see my signature, if you want to know which one).

This Forum, as well as most others, is volunteer-based. Sometimes moderators aren't available due to life events, but for the most part I think most Forums are covered on a fairly timely basis. I've jumped to other Forums, as others have done for me. The Forum has been really slow, but I've found that others that I'm involved with are as well.

Sr Sailor - you’re certainly right about the prostate cancer forum. That one is extraordinary, both in terms of activity as well as expertise. It far outshines any other forum I have seen, for any medical condition, anywhere. (I followed it for a period of time when my father had metastatic prostate cancer, and when my own baseline PSA was high)

I looked at your signature a couple of times , I don’t see the forum you’re talking about...?

I would be interested in knowing about an anxiety forum that has a wider range of people and opinions.

As others mentioned this forum is dead. thank you in advance

The forum Sr Sailor was referring to is not an anxiety-related forum.

You might want to check out some of the forums on the Insight Timer app.
