So anxious waiting…

Hi all. It’s been a while. I’ve been bombarded with anxiety the past week or so it’s terrible. I thought I had a good grasp on it but a bump I’ve had on the side of my face for 6+ years I assumed was a cyst or fatty lipoma, after an ultrasound and plastic surgeons opinion, thinking it’s not a cyst or lipoma and he’s not sure what it is. The radiology report said cannot completely exclude underlying malignancy. Cancer. The possibility even has thrown me for a total loop. Just seeing the word. I knew I my head any lump or bump could be cancerous or benign but seeing the words sent my body into overdrive and I can’t shut it off. 😔 It’s been on my face for years and years but the past 2 weeks I noticed it was looking kind of inflamed and red and it was sore to touch, so my pcp sent me to plastics since it was on my face. It’s been a whirlwind of worry since, I can’t stop thinking about it. I know absolute worst case they remove it and it’s cancer and they would treat possibly or not since they are removing it? I don’t know. Sorry I’m rambling. I’m just freaking out and my poor body can’t relax. Plastics is supposed to finally call me in the morning to go over the ultrasound and see next step. Struggling. 😕
