Iheartjeeps, I understand your situation much better now. Witnessing a parent or loved one pass is hard to tuck away in your mind for quite some time. I walked into the ER that my dad was in, saw the flurry of people working on him, he had a massive heart attack. I remember the look on his face today, he was in so much distress. It was a very traumatic experience. For quite some time that image haunted me, but in time that went away. When I think of him now, it's all good memories.
My mother had terminal lung cancer, I was sitting on the bed next to her when she took her last breath. In her situation her passing was peaceful. She suffered enough, so it was a blessing that she went peacefully.
Be kind to yourself.
