Ok, so Im really mad because I woke up this got up this morning when my bf was getting ready for work about 5am and I started doing stuff around the house and laundry and stuff. I have a 1year old so I have to get stuff done when I have the time cause he keeps me runnin! Anyways...... I was up and feeling really good then went back to bed for about an hour, well when I woke up, I just had that kinda nervous weird feeling that georgia was talking about, its really hard to explain, I guess its just an uncomfortable feeling or something. Im just having a really hard time with this, I guess its really bothers me that I cant control this feeling and why does it come out of nowhere??? I just want some answers!! Ok, and I think I have a problem with being confined or something, I had to go to get a thyroid scan today, Im having thyroid problems ruled out, I had to lay on this big thing with this thing on my neck for like 30 mins, and I just felt like body wouldnt settle down or something, I felt like I had to keep moving or something does anyone else experience that???? I think I could understand better if I were actually having an attack with all these symptoms but most of the time im not having a panic attack but experience tons of anxiety symptoms and why cant I mentally control them!!!! Please help me!!

anticipatory anxiety is the main problem for some of us, it was for me

an extra dose of benzos is very helpful for these medical procedures, ask for some if you dont have any and do tell them of your anxiety problems as they   arent always obvious, we do tend to become good actors tongue

benzos also help for visiting the dentist or getting the hair done, many of us dislike being trapped

getting my haircut was very difficult, since I was trapped in the chair eyes

I'm having the exact same feeling today I feel so shaky and feel like I just want to jump out of my own skin. I experience panic attacks but I think I have more of generalized anxiety disorder where my anxiety symptoms seem constant with panic attacks every once in awhile. I know with generalized anxiety one of the symptoms is restlessness and inability to relax. Hang in there sweetie. Something that someone once posted on this board with nervous energy is to go out and exercise. I've tried it and it actually works. I should probably go and do that myself.

I suffer from generalized anxiety and going out and getting my heart rate up does wonders for me takes that shaky feelin away quick. Hope you feel better soon!

I hate the feeling of being confined... absolutely hate it. So even when I go to the doctor and have to be in that tiny room I start feeling jumpy and have to tap my foot or look around constantly or find something to read because I feel like I want to just run outta there.

And waking up in the morning with that "uncomfortable feeling" is something I experience too. I don't know how to describe it, it's just feeling uncomfortable and maybe a slight bit nervous, like your skin feels prickly or something. I don't know.

But I know what you mean.

I take a benzo called Ativan for the anticapatory anxiety. It helps quite a bit.
