Quick little story...

Taking a trip back from Kentucky to Philadelphia this last week my car starts having problems. I cant shift into 3rd gear properly. Then I cant shift into 4th gear properly. Then by the time im halfway through West Virginia, Im completely stuck in 5th gear. We make it all the way to Maryland before we hit a mountain tha we cant climb in 5th gear and the car is done. Im talk to people who supposedly know a lot about cars and I keep saying my transmission AND clutch went. Everybody keeps telling me that i just need the clutch replaced and Ill be fine, even though my own judgement tells me otherwise. I get the clutch replaced and after 2 days in this horrible town I find out that sure enough my transmission is seized and the mechanic acts like Im crazy for not telling him that.

For the last 6 months as Ive been dealing with life with panic and anxiety, my doctor had put me on Klonopin 0.5 MG as needed iniitally which helped, but just had too many gaps between doses where I didnt feel right. Sure I just needed something more long lasting, I kept hinting at Xanax XR and basically got told that I should try Lexapro (even though I wasnt depressed). Two months on Lexapro with lack of interest in anything (including sex) and all sorts of other odd side effects I decide to stop taking it and feel better right away. I go back to Klonopin and again same problem of peaks and valleys between dosages. Again I hint at Xanax XR but get put on Wellbutrin. I deal with the most horribly depressed two weeks of my life due to that medication and have to stop taking it out of fear Id eventually kill myself if I didnt. Two weeks ago I outright ask for Xanax XR and finally without hesistation my doctor writes the prescritption for 2 MG a day. Its taken some energy out of me so I might be on too high of a dosage, but other than that this is exactly what ive needed the whole time. Panic attacks are my biggest problem (anxiety is tolerable and only elevates during panic attacks, and depression is basically nonexistant.) If you are in a situation like me, definitely give it a shot.

your klonapin dose is quite small

xanax XR is usually very expensive and lasts about as long as klonapin which in generic, is much cheaper, but XR is highly advertised to docs whereas K isnt, so go figure

if you can find an antidepressant that suits you it will help a lot but early side effects can be hard to cope with, start with a very low dose and stay on a benzo

antidepressants can help for anxiety even when you arent depressed
