I cant fall asleep

I felt very tired at first but now i feel like im worrying about nothing.....this doesnt seem like anxiety or panic but its an uncontrollable worry/ paranoid feeling im getting. I also had to get up a couple times to puke...I had anxiety the past couple days and this is something different.

Kreak, I'm sorry you can't sleep..it seems to magnify everything doesn't it? And then those negative thoughts come in.  Maybe watch some TV or read for a while.  What is making you sick? I find some panadol nightime helps me with insomnia.  Best of luck.

Insomnia is a real test!
Sheesh..when I do have an all night sleep it's like I feel sooo much better during the day it's incredible - and rare - especially when my life has turned to custard!
What are you stressing over kreak? Is there something in your life that you can change or work towards to make your life better? Have you been seeing a councillor/therapist and getting your worries out in the open - this helps heaps! Are you on meds to help ease the stress while you get over this rough patch?

Sorry you can't sleep Kreak.

But neither can I.

I can't get to sleep til 5 am everynight.

I'll just lie there, or sit on the computer, or paint, or read, or drink myself to sleep.

I RARELY drink to fall asleep..... rarely

hehe

But reading and an Ativan helps me fall asleep.

Do you think it's anx/pa that's making you puke - my Dad used to puke when he was stressed or if he felt guilty about something ( even if he shouldn't feel guilty).

I remember once - about 1 1/2 years ago when my BF was living away from me (I was selling our house while he was buying our new house) and he asked me over the phone to do something that I knew I couldn't do at the time coz of PD so I got myself in a state , pacing up and down tearing my hair , I wanted to drink myself to sleep but because of my PD I couldn't get out of the door to go to the shop.

I ended up screaming , crying , rocking , and punching and punching my matress over and over til I had no energy left.

If you've got someone to talk to please do it - I know it's hard , if not just keep posting or mail one of the mods to take your mind off stuff.

Its just the mental condition im in...and also the drungs im taking, i feel soo out of it all day and now i feel all numb. Wehn it comes time to go to bed i get dizzy closing my eyes and cant seem to fall asleep. I dont know what is wrong with me and doctors arent doing enough to evaluate me.

Maybe you should try a different doc. Not sleeping just makes everything worse. I went for about a month of no sleeping and it was AWFUL!!!! The meds finally all kicked in and while I don't drift off right away, I can sleep at least.

Sometimes if I can't sleep I take a warm bath it seems to help.
