Zoloft - how long does it take?

I have anxiety and panic and started Zoloft 4 weeks ago...

Week 1 - 25mg

Week 2-4 - 50mg

How long does this take to work?

Havent noticed anything...

Hi Sirrus,
It typically takes 4-6 weeks for the full effect however you may be on too low of a dose. I was ultimately up to 150mg when I finally felt really normal. I would talk to your doctor and see if he wants to increase you to 100mg. Have you noticed your anxiety or panic subside even a little? If not, you may have to try something else.

Havent noticed any changes at all...

Still always shaky, dizzy, and have the daily anxiety/panic.

Anyone else tried Zoloft?

You could ask your Doc for an anti anxiety med like ativan or something that will help with the shakes and dizziness ......Hope you feel better soon .....God Bless ...........Lyn....It does take a good 6 weeks for these types of Meds to start working ,maybe you are needing to ask your doctor for a bigger dosage ...Just a thought ..Hope you feel better soon...Lyn

I take lexapro 10mg and it took a good 5 weeks to fully kick in, however, now that it has leveled it isn't working so well so I think maybe I need a higher dosage, has anyone else had this happen after a few months and did it hlep to increase it.

I took zoloft b4 it took maybe two weeks the first couple days were rough but youll be ok !!
