Has anyone ever experienced very heavy pressure around your ears and head - feels like ears are stopped up but sinus tests come out negative.  Am in day 11 of this "vise" and am experiencing anxiety as a result.  Headaches come from time to time.

might be lightheadedness which can be caused by anxiety and other things, read up about lightheadedness on the net

I know exactly the feeling you described. It is almost as though your face feels like it is vibrating w/ intense pressure all throughout. I too used to believe it was my sinuses or something more serious which I wont even mention. I would als0o feel very unbalanced on my feet.But I later found out that it was indeed my high levels of anxiety. I suggest finding a psychiatrist/psychologist to find out where the anxiety is coming from. Medication such as antidepressants and benzodiazepines have provided me lots of relief, though i still get the feeling on occasion. Also, recognizing that the symptom is nothing serious helps alot too.

I've been having the same thing the last couple of days. Pressure, almost headach-y feeling on the sides on my head, around/above the ears and eyes.. pretty much what it feels like when your sinuses are all messed up.

So I guess you're not alone with that feeling. (:

Thanks guys for your reply.  I am very fatigued with this and my ears make a noise like they are full and pulsate.  I can't stay up very long because the pressure gets so bad and hurts.  I also have a headache in my right eye and temple.  Could this really be anxiety.  This is day 13 straight with no relief.  MRI today.

Hi, I have experienced the same thing. I often feel so much pressure in my ears, I think they could explode, but they wont. It is definately one of the many symptoms of panic/anxiety. The more you worry, the worse it gets. You know the usual panic cycle. Hang in there.

Thanks again.  No results from MRI yet - may be tomorrow.  Had a total panic attack before I went but adavin helped a lot.  Slept most of afternoon.  Waiting for phone to ring.  Great way to spend Valentine's with my hunny - ha.  Just hope MRI is clear and then I can go from there.

Sorry to hear you are still going thru this. Hopefully you will hear back about your MRI today. I'm sure hubby understands and was just happy to be there with you. You are in my prayers hun so please hang in there.

It sounds like anxiety but I'm glad you got an MRI just to be sure.  I've noticied that this symptom is worse when I'm having allergies.  I take Motrin when the pressure headache gets too much, it usually helps.  Keep us informed and God's blessing.

Hi there, yes i too get alot of pressure in my head face nose and ears. it is very annoying. i have the off balance feeling and lightheaded and dizziness. the dizziness would send me into a state of panic. didnt know if it was a panic attack or just sinus problems. i do suffer from both. to my own conclusion i think the constant pressure, ear fullness headaches are from sinus problems. they bring on anziety for me. when i feel lightheaded i get a panic attack, because it reminds me a the beginning of a panic attack.lately my head and sinus have been terrible. headaches also, along with neck pain.Sherman, have you had your mri completed. hope the results were negative for anything serious.let us know how things worked out for you. Well after an MRI and an MRA - nothing showed up.  Actually the symptoms have gotten better but are still there somewhat.  It really makes me wonder if a lot of it wasn't anxiety.  Just knowing everything is ok makes me feel better.  I still think my sinuses had a little to do with it although cat scan showed nothing in my sinuses.  At least I had doctors who ruled everything out.  Hope everyone else is feeling better.  Let me know.  Thanks for all the support.
