angela,
I, too, get the feeling like I'm going to collapse, and almost feel like my body "freezes" up and it's hard to move. I just try to relax as much as possible and kind of float through it. The shaking is the worst as I always think everyone must be able to see me shaking like a bowl of jello...which causes more anxiety of course. Just know that in 17 years of going through this, I've never collapsed, and I've always managed to move...especially towards the car to leave...lol! Great idea Karen! When I'm home and have panic, I go off into the bedroom alone where it's quiet and I can work through the panic without distraction, in public it's very hard to do that...I never thought of going to the bathroom and sitting in a stall to get some quiet...thank you for sharing that, I'm going to try it!!!
