Just curious is anyone has taken this combo before

Anyone ever combined an SSRI, an ADD med and an anti-anxiety med like Buspar before? I am currently taking zoloft (and have been for many years) and just started taking adderall. I also have been prescribed Buspar but haven't taken it yet (well, i did for a couple days btu stopped because i thought it was making me dizzy but that turned out to be something else i think).

yep, he's the one that prescribed all of them. except for the zoloft they are all really low doses.

I havent either but I am sure someone can help you out or google in our new systewm up top it is a good search engine IMO

As well did you mean the doc knows that you are not taking the buspar??

actually, the psychiatrist told me to stop the buspar when i complained of feeling very out of it. but it seems that it was actually the celexa i was taking for a few days that caused that. the psychologist knows what i'm taking. i don't know if i am going back to that same psychiatrist. he diagnosed me in like 10 minutes and the whole appt was about 20, including prescribing all the meds. and he said some things that bothered me about thinking twice about having more kids because it's a 50-50 chance any offspring will have these issues. very strange. also, i have an appt with my PCP in a week or so and will talk to him as well and have my blood tested. i see the psychologist once per week now. he's good to talk to but he really hasn't recommended anything one way or another. it's like the psychiatrist recommends too much and explains too little, and the psychologist recommends too little and explains too much. you really have to do a lot of work yourself with these disorders and ultimately make your own decisions based upon what all these different docs say.

yes, that was me. i've been seeing a psychologist who i like but not a new psychiatrist yet. i am going to get a recommendation from my psychologist this week and will try someone else as far as the meds go. and i have an appt with my pcp to go over some things as well. i'd prefer to go to someone who could handle both therapy as well as meds ultimately.

It's best to find a psychiatrist who does both psychotherapy and medication management. Too often, the psychologist and psychiatrist don't know each other well and rarely communicate about your progress. That makes it very difficult to provide comprehensive treatment.
