Faith is not a religion. It is a belief in one God. I was really enjoying making friends here and the support I was giving and receiving was wonderful and I was grateful. I need to talk about Jesus. He makes my life bearable and beautiful, depending on what is going on. I was not accusing anyone of anything ...only offering my love in the only way I know with...through Jesus Christ. I am sorry if anyone took offense and I am saddened to lose friends that were meaning so much to me. Oakley

There is no problem with having Faith
hun I do as well very strong beliefs and faith

The reason it is not really allowed......is because so many threads that start out "OK' turn ......very or have the potential to turn into very heated and disruptive threads

No one is saying not to have faith ..........

I dont know where this has come from or what the post was about ....

I hope you dont leave the forum and do understand that this is in place for some of the reasons I have listed ..........

Hi Oakley.  No offense taken.  I am a woman of very strong faith.  I never would of survived the difficult times in my life without my faith!

 

I think the "Footprints" prayer sums it up for me!

Well, I'm fairly new here so I don't know what happened.  I am Catholic so I probably would've understood and not have gotten offended.  However, I do understand that some people get uncomfortable about religion so I try to leave it out of the conversation out of respect.  But I always turn to my faith during hard times.  I love the Serenity Prayer personally.  If you want to talk about Jesus, you can do so with me.  tongue

Sorry for whatever happened and hopefully things will change for the better.

I consider myself a person of strong faith in terms of what Jesus said. I'd love it if we could have peaceful discussions about faith, but unfortunately there's so many divisive arguments about religion that I'm glad it's kept off the boards. The time and place for it is in your heart, not here, although I'm sure there are other message boards that do allow that sort of discussion. I just feel it's a ticking time bomb.

Not everybody believes the same thing in the same way. I've noticed in the comments that MOST of the regular posters here are people of faith, so you can feel comfortable here. You're certainly not an outsider in any way.

I am not sure what happened but please, stay with us, we have great respect for each other and everyone has a right to their own believes. I offer hugs as I hope all faiths would accept a hug of support.
I have my believes but I too avoid discussions about religions, politics and the alignment of the planets..............................as I avoid conflict and am more of a peacemaker.
We need you here and I hope you feel you need us, so please stay with this wonderful family.

I try to have faith, I believe in God but I see faith in getting well a hard struggle if that makes sense.

I just brought a pack of Angel cards, so I'm going to pull one a day. They have beautiful pictures and each has a positive message and did a reading yesterday and I got a lot of believing in God to help you and looking for the signs.

I pray EVERY morning for Jesus to fill me with His peace, love and strength. It is what gets me out of bed and I pray throughout the day for others, which takes the focus off of myself (the anxiety/panic/fear) and fills me with His love and my love for my family and friends. I wouldn't be the same without my Faith. The scripture that is on a board next to the mirror in my bathroom reads: "For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says, Do not fear; I will help you." -Isaiah 41:13 We are never alone! Thank you for sharing.

Faith in and of itself is supposed to be a struggle. If it were easy it would just be blind faith.

I believe in faith and in angels as I could not fathom in my mind that the people I have lost over the years, My father, mother, son, goddaughter, plus many others have not gone on to a better place and that they now watch over me.

Faith is a belief in things not seen...so, in a way, it is blind. But, for many people, that belief is what gives them strength and the feeling that they are not alone.
