Today has been one of my worst days yet i have no energy what so ever, arms and legs constantly going numb, nautious, stomach ache, chest discomfort, get so light headed i break out in a sweat, headache, i feel off balance this is so messed up i just did a 14 hour fasting blood test for everything from hiv to heart enzymes everything was great heart test was perfect, iron was perfect , cholesterol was 135, im as healthy as an ox from the blood workup except i came up positive for HSV-1 which is nothing major everyone is born with it and carry it just some dont show symptoms which i didnt maybe thinking about this has increased my anxiety to the point where its totally running my life i dont know i just know one thing I CANT TAKE THIS ANYMORE im goin flippin insane :( if anyone has ever felt this way please respoond i need to know im not alone

 You are not alone I feel this way every day the dizziness and the heart racing is driving me crazy, I also just had a major blood work up and everything fine. I just had a panic attack about an hour ago IT SUCKS mad I really hope we both feel better soon

Did they check your thyroid function? This can cause some of your symptoms.

I have been suffering with anxiety/panic for about 8 years now.  At this moment and for the last few days, I've been feeling edgy and panicky, like something horrible is about to happen.  I actually feel like I need to figure out what my children will do when I'm not here anymore.  My back started to hurt a few days ago and that's all it takes... now I feel this pressure on my left side under my rib cage (I've felt this sensation before)I feel like I can't breathe very well and I'm so consumed and stuck inside my own thoughts and feelings that I can't focus on anything I try to do...  I notice that once I become focused on something else I feel better...but then (once I'm feeling better) I'll realize wow I can control this panicky feeling and as soon as I'm reminded of how I was feeling the negative sensations come right back.  I am terrified that there is something life threatening wrong with me - like some major cancer or something that is growing and my Dr. just brushes it off as my anxiety.  I go through this every month or couple of months.  I don't know what happens that I snap out of it but my biggest fear is that I will have to live with this fear for the rest of my life.  Does anyone out there know how I feel???

Hey there. I am so sorry you are feeling so lousy. I too have been feeling a lot of what you are feeling, and I know it is beyond terrible!!! If you would ever like to talk with me, go into my profile, and send me an email. I want you to know that you are definately NOT alone. All of what you are feeling sounds like some major anxiety. I look forward to talking with you more, and I hope you are able to find some relief soon! I am sorry you are feeling so down!!!

thank you all for your replies it helped alot and for the question of my thyroid level it was perfect everything came out perfect cept the HSV-1 which i found out today was caused by the chicken pox i had 4 times when i was lillte so knowing that has helped me a little bit still feeling bad though even today im just so weak and tired cant concentrate and im out of my meds :| so right now is the time to fight this and see if i can do it without ativan if not ill be in the hospital later hopefully i can fight it and to mom yes i feel this way that is why i had a complete blood panel ran i had every test hiv herpes ca125 is cancerous cells test or something it cost alot but it helped my mind tremendously anxiety will make u feel there is something majorly wrong with u when there really isnt i have learned this after 20 vistis toi the er with nothing wrong but panic the only thing i know to do is to go have a complete work upo done tell your dr to do it he works for u .. you dont work for him.

Thanks POtluck...  I am sorry to hear that you are feeling crappy... I too am feeling bad today (but the good this about it was that it led me to this site and it's helped me a lot).  I feel the way you're feeling right now, so regularily that when I'm feeling good I think I actually bring myself back to feeling miserable (if that makes any sense).  I've had the same Dr. since I was 14 (I'm 29 now) and she is very aware of my a/p so I worry that she blows off real potential problems and blames it on my health anxiety.  In my heart I believe that I am healthy but my brain keeps telling me (yeah right you are dying). My husband has been telling me to get a new Dr. but I'm afraid to change (I don't know why).  Have you ever met anyone who worries like we do and has been able to stop doing it (and had it stick)?????

Hey Mom...I know you are scared to get a new doctor, since you have had her for so long, you probably have comfort in her. It might bot be a bad idea though to start fresh, and maybe that would help in getting you better! Ya know what I am saying?

Reading your posts makes me see how very alike we are when it comes to the whole health anxiety thing. Wow.

You mention that you're out of your meds. You need to take care of that ASAP. Going cold turkey off the meds can significantly increase levels of anxiety - and of course the more anxiety you have - the more anxiety you have - and so on...

You're certainly not alone in your struggles. Most of us here have been exactly where you're at... : )
