2 of them I am not familiar with, but my GP said lexapro is the best tolerated and newest one out there, and almost no one gains on it..
I've been on it a week and a bit and lost 3lbs. not noticing any change in appetite, but I think its different for everyone.
Good luck.
Hi,
I've been on Lexapro for 2-1/2 years now, and I gained a significant amount of weight on it (20+ lbs), but it was the only antidepressant I seemed to be able to tolerate. I tried zoloft before the Lexapro, and lost weight on that one, but it gave me jumpy muscles really bad, so I had to quit that one. My best friend is on Cymbalta and loves it... I would like to try it at some point, but I hate to rock the boat. I was recently diagnosed with Type II diabetes, and have to be on a strict diet, so some of that weight is coming off now. I personally think when the depression goes, the appetite comes back (just a theory, LOL) . Nobody wants to gain weight, but every med reacts differently on different people and the main thing is to get feeling better! ((((Hugs)))) to all,
Bear
