hi all, a year ago I lost my children (2 boys 6 and 18 months) to the local authority because I had agoraphobia (and other problems so don't worry that you will lose your children if you are single and agoraphobic).
A year on and this is my story! I am getting my boys back on 6th August!!!!
I fought my way through my agoraphobia for the sake of my children. I still have a way to go in calming the anxiety while I am out but once upon a time I was totally housebound, I couldn't get across the road to the post office without the help and support of this site... It has been such a battle but when people here have told me not to give up I eventually started to believe them and started fighting it.
I met a decent man (Nick) in January this year and he has helped me so much after I had given up all hope of ever seeing my children again.
I would just like to say to everyone who is agoraphobic, keep fighting it, do it one step at a time, push yourself to your limits daily.
I truely hope that everyone recovers from this as I am.
Love to all
Chuckle
