Hello.

I've been experiencing lots of panic and anxiety, mostly in the morning. The past 10 days i've had panic in the mornings, even while on a high dose of klonopin 3.5. Doc's wanna try Remeron. From all i read was tons weight gain...

update for anyone interested.

i took my first dose of Remeron last night (15MG). The stuff knock me out, but i still woke up at 6:30 with panic!!! hehehehe. I laugh at it now :) Its horrible, but the support i get here and at my group and therapy makes it tolerable. All morning i've been really tired, but it actually feels good. Like my body needs this chill out time. So, while i'm supposed to be going out and running errands and doing things (doctors orders), i feel pretty content just hanging out and writing. The world seems like a more peace place for me right now ( my world of course), so even with another morning of panic, i'm feeling not so bad.

Well, hope everyone else is hanging in there! This is a pretty strong group and i appreciate each and every comment you guys post.

Talk soon, and if anyone does have any experience with this particular drug, please let me know :)

Hi Dan.  I am on 45mg of Rameron RD and yes it will put you asleep just right.  You will gain weight but not a lot.  I think I have gained about 40 pounds in the last year.  However, I was thin for my height.  So now I am 180 pounds and I am about 6 feet tall.  I was 140 pounds.  But I really like Rameron RD.  And yes, it does take some time to get into the system.  You will really start to notice it working IMO, in about 2 weeks.

yeah  I have used Remeron for quite sometime and I feel it has helped me more then anything else, that may even include my clonazepam. We are all different , so what is good for one person, may not be the right medicine for another. I do not think i  gained weight on it.

I tried remeron but even at only 7 mg I was a total zombie on this. For the days that I was on it I would sleep 16 hours a day! Each persons reaction to a drug is different. Good luck to you.

Hi.  I honestly really like Rameron RD.  Me, I did gain weight, but I needed it.  I take it right at bedtime.  I find within about 20 minutes I am completely relaxed and fall asleep.  But I am on a high dose.  Also, there is Rameron and Rameron RD (rapid dissolve).  I put the pill on my tongue and it dissolves (tastes like orange).

But as already posted, everyone is different with meds.  I just hope that Dan can get a good night sleep and wake up without any panic.  Everyday I think about Dan when I wake up hoping.....

I've actually gone 5 days without having a panic attack! I've been in a partial program (outpatient treatment) for the past 2 weeks, thats why i haven;t been posting as much. I havent recieved a full night sleep yet, but each night is getting better!.

I really dont want to gain weight. A little would be ok, but i need to becareful cause i feel good at the weight I'm at. Any heavier would make me depressed. So yeah, i'm trying not to eat too much, and eat light carb foods when i can...

It really makes me crave food, but i've been good and its nice to have an appetite again. food Never tasted so good :D

I am so thrilled for you Dan.  It is good to hear the success stories and I think your therapy sessions will be of the greatest benefit to you.

i've been on Remeron about 4 yrs.I have no problems with it.I'm cool........

will do! Thanks. Each day with out panic is fantastic. I've learned so much from this past relapse and have learned a lot of coping skills. And i found this forum board!!!!

You all have been so kind and wonderful! And just cause the panic is gone, doesnt mean i will :D
