Freaking out on klonopin

I would like to know if anyone has had any personality side effects with klonopin. I have always been slightly self destructive but since taking klonopin .5mg 2 times a day I have been experiencing severe personality changes. First of all, I don't curse. But on klonopin I have cursed my mother and my wife.  This is not me. I have an appointment with my dr. tomorrow to discuss it. I was just wondering if anyone has experienced side effects of total personality change.

1. No discussion of any illegal activity or threats of violence. (ie. illicit drug use, including medical marijuana use, threats of suicide or self-injury, or threatened or intended physical harm).  Discussions of suicide or self-harm that are deemed negative and therefore potentially injurious to others are also not permitted.

Clearly you need to re-evaluate at the soonest possible opportunity, which it sounds like you're doing. I hope you're under the care of a psychiatrist as opposed to a regular MD.

I had to edit your post.  I am in total agreement with Debaser, you need to seek help asap and perhaps call your physician to get in today as tomorrow is still a long way off.

You have some extrememly serious issues going on and now is the time to seek out the help of professionals.  Go to an ER if you need to.

Well I obviously got the wrong idea about this forum. I thought it was a place I could share what I'm going through. I have found that is not the case. Obviously all you people want is happy,happy,happy. Well life ain't happy. People get ****ed up in the head and need someone to talk to. I ask for information and all I get is a ****ing edit! Well you can edit the ****ink crap out of this because I won't be back. I'm through! **** it! And if you think kids don't hear or see stuff like this then you're an idiot! So you people just keep on thinking false happy thoughts and ignoring people's problems. I'm one more life ruined because of people who don't give a flying ****! Edit away ******s!

The above post is a great example of an inappropriate use of emotive language.

I'm sorry that you feel that way, Tat, and even though I'm not very fond of censorship myself I can appreciate that rule. I read your unedited post this morning. There were other ways you could have talked about that...most of us are adults and know what you would have meant. You painted a very vivid picture.

Nonetheless, I hope you get the help you need today at your doctor's office. I would suspect that while you may have an anxiety problem, your predominant disorder may actually be depression. The types of things you describe, unfortunately, are typical in depressed people (especially teens but others, as well). The "verbally violent" outburst also screams depression to me. I'm not a doctor or anything, but I've seen and experienced a lot. I really do think you need a good psychiatrist to figure out exactly where you are and how to proceed from there.
